Jackie loves cookies and I bake them for him year round. Many people think of baking cookies on cold, snowy winter days, but not us. I make as much of our food from scratch as possible preferring to know exactly what ingredients have gone into what food we are eating. The only problem I have with baking however is with just the two of us here we cannot eat full recipes before they start to wear out their welcome. As many of you who bake know, not every baked goods recipe can be cut in half with the quality still intact, so lately I have been on a mission to find quality small batch recipes and with great success. I have already posted a recipe for a small batch of oatmeal cookies and today I will be adding the snickerdoodle recipe along with a picture I took of the batch I made this morning. They take no time to whip up and if you wanted to you could put together all of the dry ingredients, seal them in a canning jar or plastic bag and when you want fresh cookies all you would have to do is add the wet ingredients and bake. Who needs cookie dough from the refrigerator or freezer section of the grocery store.
Be sure to check out the recipes page of this blog from time to time. Not only will there be recipes but also cleaning product recipes and tips and recipes for homemade mixes like that famous boxed corn bread we all love to keep on hand. And please if you have any ideas, tips or recipes you would like to share don't be bashful, just send them right along.
Until we meet here again, I pray God bless you and keep your loved ones safe.
