I love granola and I have been making my own for many years now. I initially started making my own to save money as store bought granola can be quite costly. But I have continued to keep making my own for several reasons. First I have yet to find a store bought version that yields any taste or character what-so-ever. Second, Jackie and I try to eat as natural and chemical free as we possibly can. Thirdly, and my favorite reason, it just makes me happy to make granola! Mixing everything together, the smell while it's baking in the oven and the satisfaction of knowing I made it while enjoying the fruits of my labor.
I am going to share my personal recipe for granola in which I have refined and in my opinion perfected over the years. I use this recipe as a starting point and then add extra ingredients that suit me at the moment after the granola has baked and cooled. Sometimes I vary the dried fruits I use or the type of nuts I mix in. Sometimes I add in some Rice Krispies or bran flakes and if I want to use it as snack mix rather than a cereal I will add chocolate chips or M&M's. The possibilities are absolutely endless! So with that said, you can find the recipe on the recipe page in the baked goods section and the rest is up to you.
Until we meet here again, I pray God bless you and keep your loved ones safe.
