The People That We Meet

Have you ever stopped and thought about just how many people you have met in your lifetime?  According to www.quora.com on the internet, using a lifespan of 78.3 years the average person will meet 80,000 people.  Just the number of those I will meet and forget is mind blowing!  A much more realistic and memorable number is the average number of people who's lives in which we have had an impact.  That number is much more manageable coming in at 150 people.

Now I ask if you have ever stopped to think each of every one of those people has been put in your life by God?  Not only has God put them there, He has done so to accomplish a specific purpose in our life.  Now I don't think I need to go into the obvious reasons why He has put the people in our lives who bring good things to us or those who otherwise complete us, but what about the things the not so pleasant people bring to our lives.  You know the ones who infuriate you, test every last nerve you have, gross you out due to their lack of manners or hygiene?  Basically those who take the pleasant, kind person you really are and turn you into a raving lunatic you don't even recognize let alone claim!

As much as I don't like admitting it, I think it is from those people in which we can learn the most with God placing  them in our lives because He knows our weaknesses.  The areas where we need growth to which left unchallenged we would stagnate and cease to accomplish all that we are capable of and meant to be.  Rather than look upon these people as aggravations and irritations it occurs to me that we should embrace them knowing that we can learn much from them and after surviving their company we will emerge much better people.

Until we meet here again, I pray God bless you and keep your loved ones safe.

Tracy
