Most of us have no problem being thankful when things are going our way. When our roads are straight and everything is coming up roses. However when we hit a rough patch and the roads become crooked and bumpy reasons to be thankful often escape us. Our focus becomes not on what is right and good, but what is wrong and not as we would have it to be. Our hurts, our struggles, our unfulfilled wants and desires. Unbeknownst to us we often plunge deeper into the valley in which we find ourselves than we need as we swim into a pool of self pity.
It is when we find ourselves heading into these dark places that we need to stop and think about all the many ways in which we have been blessed. All the things in your life that would be an answered payer to many in the world. Think back on all the adversities and trials you have gone thru in your life which God has not only brought you thru but set you upon a mountain top where the view is much sweeter than the one you had before. Finally think on the person you were before and after and decide which one you like better. I think you know what is next. Lift your head and thank God for all He has blessed you with, both the smooth sailing and perhaps even more the rough ways.
Until we meet here again, I pray God bless you and keep your loved ones safe.
