I am not overall a big fan of poetry. Quiet frankly the more sophisticated and the deeper it gets the less I understand it. However this is one of the few poems I have found in my life which is the exception to the rule. I have loved this poem and it speaks directly to my heart. It has gotten me thru much in my life and I find it a constant source of strength and encouragement.
To commemorate our baptism my mom sent Jackie and I each a card with this poem on it as well as a sliver coin with footprints and the last stanza of this poem inscribed on it. I carry mine with me at all times. I'm quite certain you are all familiar with this poem, but may have forgotten about it thru the years. Others of you may keep it close to you as well. Some of you may be reading it for the first time and it may speak to your heart in a much needed way. Whatever the case may be, we have all been carried in the arms of Jesus and in this world of chaos it is good that we all be reminded least we forget.
Until we meet here again, I pray God bless you and keep your loved ones safe.
