Southwestern Chicken


4 skinless chicken breast 

1 medium onion, chopped

1 large carrot, chopped

1 medium green pepper, chopped

1 large stalk celery, chopped

1 small can tomato sauce

1 cup white corn syrup

1 teaspoon chili powder

salt and pepper to taste

cooked spaghetti or rice







Brown chicken breasts  in butter on both sides and cook until almost done; set aside and saute vegetables until onion is translucent.  Pour in the tomato sauce, corn syrup, chili powder, salt and pepper.  Let come to a boil and add chicken.  Simmer until chicken is done, turning once.  Serve over spaghetti or rice.

Works well with pork also.
