Those of you who are regular followers of this blog are already well acquainted with my husband Jackie. He has been a regular part of this blog and a good sport about it at that. On top of allowing me to share bits and pieces of his daily life with you, he now serves as official proof reader of any and all blogs prior to me hitting the publish button.
Jackie is now "retired" from coal mining where he spent just under 40 years of his life underground keeping the rest of us in electric. Jackie is truly a man of many talents and honestly he never ceases to amaze those who know him. In addition to all the skills he honed while working for the mine industry Jackie is a self taught carpenter and he actually built our house with his own two hands and has made the overwhelming majority of our furniture.
In addition to all his skills Jackie is a wonderful man and everyone loves him. He embodies all that the Bible tells us a good Christian man should be. Honest, kind, generous, loving and always the first person to lend a hand to someone in need. So since people enjoy hearing about Jackie and following his projects he has generously agreed to participating in this page.
So with no further ado I offer you a glimpse into his first project. Jackie is always coming up with new ways he can manufacture parts and items which will allow him to do things easier and more efficient on his own for little to no money. One of his skills which allows many of these ideas come to life is his being a skilled welder. Today he is working on making an attachment to turn his loader bucket on the tractor into a clam bucket. This creation will allow picking up large items to be done so with ease or at least that is the plan. I will keep you posted as the project progresses and is completed.
Until we meet here again, I pray God bless you and keep your loved ones safe.
